One person ejected from vehicle, two others hurt after a crash in Wisconsin

MENOMONIE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say three people were hurt following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night that ejected one of them from the vehicle.

According to a release from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 11:54 p.m. for reports of a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of County Road K and 670th Avenue in the Township of Menomonie.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was headed south on County Road K when it crested a hill on the roadway and entered a ditch. As the vehicle began to correct itself, it overcorrected and lost control before hitting a tree.

Officials say they found three people hurt from the crash with one person being ejected from the vehicle and the other two needing to be extricated from the vehicle.

Two of the people hurt in the crash were flown to the hospital with the third being taken to a hospital by ambulance before later being flown to another hospital.

Deputies say alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash and an investigation into the incident is ongoing by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office.
