One person hospitalized after small plane crashes in Pembroke Pines

A small plane crashed in the area of Pembroke Road and University Drive near North Perry Airport on Thursday afternoon near the Honeywoods community.

At least one person was taken to a hospital with injuries, Pembroke Pines Police said in a tweet. “All of the plane have been accounted for,” the tweet said.

Reports say four people were on the plane.

Roads in the area around the airport are closed.

The agency did not immediately respond for comment.

A spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration did not immediately comment.
