The latest trailer for the upcoming film, “One Piece Film: Red,” focuses on a brand new character with strong ties to Luffy’s past.

The character in question is “the world’s greatest diva,” a singer named Uta, who is the daughter of Red Hair Shanks, Luffy’s childhood hero and one of the original owners of his signature straw hat. The trailer depicts multiple interactions between Uta and Luffy set in the past and present.

Uta will be voiced by Kaori Nazuka of “Fairy Tail” fame, with the singing portions performed by J-pop artist Ado. They will also be joined by Kenjiro Tsuda, the voice of Kentaro Nanami in “Jujutsu Kaisen,” and the rest of the original cast of “One Piece.”

The film is scripted by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, the writer of “One Piece: Gold,” and directed by “Code Geass” director Goro Taniguchi.
