One restaurant closed; cockroaches, flies seen in latest Fort Worth health inspections
One restaurant was closed for serious health violations, and cockroaches and flies were seen in the latest Fort Worth health inspections.
There were 65 inspections from April 23 to May 6.
Rodeo Tacos at 121 Northwest 25th St. was closed and received 33 demerits. Inspectors saw rotting lettuce, organic material on a container of sauce stored in the cooler, and expired food that was prepped.
Fort Worth restaurant inspection scores are based on a demerit system. Restaurants receiving more than 30 demerits are required to fix the worst problems immediately and clean up the rest within 48 hours. A score of zero is perfect.
Rodeo Tacos was the only restaurant that received more than 30 demerits. Rodeo Tacos received six demerits in a follow-up inspection.

Byblos Lebanese Restaurant at 1406 N. Main St., 25
There were several flies in the drain and dead cockroaches at Byblos Lebanese Restaurant, according to the inspection report. Two live cockroaches were seen at Hacienda Buffet Antigua at 1950 Menefee Ave.. A live insect was crawling on a wall at Wingstop at 6208 Camp Bowie Blvd. Cockroaches were seen in the drain of the dishwasher at Hilton Garden Inn Fossil Creek at 4400 North Freeway.
