3 hospitalized in I-485 Outer Loop wreck: Medic

MINT HILL, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Three people have been hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash on the I-485 Outer Loop Friday morning, according to emergency personnel.

Authorities said they transported three people with injuries to the hospital, and two others were treated at the scene. One person was reportedly trapped in their vehicle following the wreck.

NCDOT reported that the left lane was closed near Exit 47, Lawyers Road. The expected impact on traffic was high Friday morning.

No word on what caused the multi-vehicle accident at this time. North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating.
