Like Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lauren Conrad before her, Sophia Bush is the latest Hollywood starlet to get in on the interior design game. The former One Tree Hill and Chicago P.D. actress teamed up with Chi-Town designer Lauren McGrady, owner of the eclectic home décor boutique Rider, to form Filles de Rincón, a new design consulting business that offers interior design services and will eventually branch out to create curated collections of coveted custom home décor pieces.

In a recent interview with Elle Décor, Bush revealed that the partnership began with a fortuitous trip to Rider, where she purchased a Persian rug, artwork by Butch Anderson, and some vintage books—and ended in a collaboration on the design of the West Loop apartment she was living in while filming Chicago P.D.

“Lauren and I just clicked,” Bush told the magazine. “She has a very cool, eclectic style and understands so many different mediums. And I’m likewise so curious about so many things like design and fashion—we just started brainstorming about events that we’d want to throw and museums to go to and art shows, and it was really such a fun friendship that began forming.”

Though Bush put the apartment on the market for $2.25 million earlier this year, the listing photos prove that the actress has some serious design chops. She and McGrady custom designed the striated high-back sofas that dominate a seating area off the main dining area, and for a powder room sink she enlisted furniture designer MegMade to transform a midcentury sideboard into a one-of-a-kind vanity.

“Every person who came in said, ‘I’ve never seen anything like this—can you do my house? Would you guys look at my space?’said Bush. “And we went, Oh, people want this.” As of now details are being kept under wraps, but we can expect that whatever comes out of this collaboration will no doubt be on every design lover’s wish list.
