Oneida County will close some COVID testing, vaccine sites due to lack of demand

Oneida County officials said they will end the announcement of vaccination and testing updates for the time being due to a lack of demand.

Oneida County will cease its testing at Griffiss International Airport in Rome, Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona and Utica National Insurance Group in New Hartford next week.

Free COVID-19 testing will still be offered at the Oneida County Health Clinics located in Utica and Rome. Appointments can be made at https://ocgov.net/health/forms/oneida-county-free-covid-19-testing-program.

Walk-ins will also be accepted.

Testing will be conducted every Monday and Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. in Utica (406 Elizabeth St.) and every Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. in Rome (300 W. Dominick St.).

Location: Oneida County Health Clinic, 406 Elizabeth St., Utica

Type: Pfizer Booster & Moderna Booster

Appointments: Walk-ins or schedule at ocgov.net.

COVID-19 testing

Date: 1/29/22

Time: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Location: Griffiss International Airport, 706 Hangar Road, Rome (drive-thru)
