Lawn care company GreenTree Property Maintenance in Marcy is now expanding to offer cemetery planting for the spring, summer and fall season in addition to their regular lawn mowing, bulk delivery and snowplowing services.

"We understand sometimes you just don’t have the time or capability to care for your loved one's resting place," said GreenTree's Kim Gruenewald. "We can do that for you."

A one-time visit includes trimming, weeding and edging grass around the plot; clean up of debris and trash; pruning of bushes and shrubs and prepping the flower bed with nutrient rich soil. Included are up to six plants of the customers' choosing from their list. Before and after pictures of the gravesite also will be provided.

In addition, for every grave planted they will plant a flower on a nearby forgotten grave.

"We hope to honor many loved ones that have gone before us," Gruenewald said.
