Puffy L’z - “Front Gate” [ft. Giggs]
Only good things are happening in Toronto right now: the Raptors just brought the city a ring, Kawhi Leonard has embraced the meme, and Drake is being Drake. The city is riding on a high, so it’s only right that we acknowledge the recent return of Halal Gang rapper Puffy L’z. On “Front Gate,” Puffy L’z hops on a heavy hitting Maaly Raw beat for three minutes of slick talk in his cocky and unhurried delivery. The UK’s Giggs features on the track and Puffy L’z is beaming, paying homage to the longtime emcee by reciting one of his most infamous lines: “Batman, da na na na.” “Front Gate” is yet another moment for Toronto and now all the song needs is a video of Kawhi putting all of his energy into shouting Puffy L’z’s signature “Ahwoolay.”
