Online bookmaker begins taking bets on next Microsoft CEO

Although the dust surrounding Steve Ballmer’s retirement has still yet to settle, the internet is already abuzz over the future of Microsoft’s top spot. While most people are content simply debating the potential successors, Ladbrokes, a popular British gambling website, has determined odds for a group of 25 candidates for those that are especially confident with their predictions. The list includes several CEOs from other global tech companies, including Reed Hastings of Skype, John Donahoe of eBay and Marissa Mayer of Yahoo. Sitting at the top spot is Nokia CEO and former Microsoft executive Stephen Elop. A few Apple heads made their way onto the list as well: Jony Ive and Tim Cook the most unlikely among them. And in case you thought he might be out of the running, even Bill Gates managed to find his way on the list with 50/1 odds.
