Online dating site partners with 'Love Boat' for singles

Online dating site is launching a real-life 'Love Boat.'

It’s perhaps the best way to cruise for a date -- literally and figuratively. Online dating site has teamed up with a leading US singles cruise company to launch a pair of vacation packages for singletons who aren’t afraid of taking their search for a soul mate to the high seas.

Not unlike matchmaker airlines, is launching a Halloween-themed love boat and a New Year’s Eve package reserved exclusively for singletons.

Halloween fans may be interested in what’s billed as the largest Halloween bash at sea, with about 500 single cruisers, while the New Year’s Eve package culminates in a gala event.

Onboard activities like cocktail parties, theme nights, dance classes and karaoke are programmed to break the ice and help singles get to know each other.

The 7-night Halloween cruise departs Fort Lauderdale October 26 with ports of call along the Eastern Caribbean. The 8-night New Year’s Eve cruise leaves Fort Lauderdale December 27 and sails the Southern Caribbean.

This is the second year the singles cruise specialist has launched a cruise package with the online dating site.

Meanwhile, airlines like Jetstar and Air New Zealand have also played cupid on speed dating flights for singles.

Virgin America also features what it calls an ‘in-flight flirting service,’ that allows passengers to buy their onboard crush a drink via the plane’s in-flight entertainment system.
