What is National Thrift Shop Day?

National Thrift Shop Day, celebrated each year on Aug. 17, is about supporting local thrift shops, most of which give back to or support underserved communities.

Good and bad thrift days are very real. When selections are constantly changing and racks are full, it can be hard to walk away with good finds.
