Only Murders in the Building's Selena Gomez teases season 3 with cast selfie

Only Murders in the Building season 2 spoilers follow.

Only Murders in the Building star Selena Gomez has shared a sweet photo with her co-stars ahead of the new season.

Following the confirmation that season three of the mystery-comedy would premiere on August 8, the singer and actress posted a picture of herself with Steve Martin and Martin Short to celebrate the upcoming premiere.

"Some of my favorite people," Selena wrote in the image's caption. "Only Murders In the Building season 3 is coming august 8th!!!!"

"The very best neighbours," commented Michael Cyril Creighton, who plays Arconia resident Howard Morris.

Starring Gomez, Martin and Short as neighbours Mabel Mora, Charles-Haden Savage and Oliver Putnam, Only Murders in the Building follows the true crime-obsessed trio who find themselves investigating mysterious deaths in their New York apartment building.

Joining the trio in season three will be Academy Award winner Meryl Streep, Jesse Williams (Grey's Anatomy) and Ashley Park (Emily in Paris).

Creighton will also be returning to our screens, with his character Howard Morris being upgraded to a series regular.

Additionally, Ant-Man's Paul Rudd will return as Ben Glenroy. Viewers are set to learn, via a series of flashbacks, the events that led to Ben's death in the season two finale.

Aside from the investigation into Ben's death, wedding bells will also be ringing in the new season.

Mabel is the one who will seemingly be getting married, as Gomez was spotted on set dressed in a wedding gown earlier this year.

Only Murders in the Building season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, August 8. Seasons 1 and 2 are available now on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
