A North Carolina sports betting website has put together its list of best television shows set in the Tar Heel State.

BetCarolina.com used Wikipedia's "Television shows set in North Carolina" as a starting point, creating a weighted scoring system based on IMDb rating, Rotten Tomatoes Audience score, Rotten Tomatoes Critic score, and award recognition to rank all the television series set in North Carolina.

And while there's no shortage of film and TV productions that have called Wilmington home, only two shows made in the Port City are on the BetCarolina.com top 10 list.

Those shows were "Eastbound and Down" and "One Tree Hill." While plenty of TV shows have filmed in the Port City, many of them are set outside of the state, such as "Dawson's Creek" (Cape Cod area) and "Matlock" (Atlanta).

A fan favorite, "One Tree Hill," ranked number 10. The show was set in the fictional North Carolina town of Tree Hill and starred Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty. It filmed in Wilmington between 2003-2013 for nine seasons and a total of 288 episodes. Many of the scenes were shot near Battleship North Carolina and at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Ranking number three was "Eastbound and Down," a comedy about former major league baseball player Kenny Powers, who returns to his hometown of Shelby and becomes a substitute gym teacher. The first season begin filming in Wilmington in 2009. The majority of the second season was produced in Mexico, but flashback scenes included the Port City.

Local locations used for "Eastbound and Down" included Cameron Art Museum, Carolina Beach and Maides Park. "Eastbound and Down" shot its final season in July 2013 in Wilmington.

"The Andy Griffith Show" topped the list, which was based on the fictional town of Mayberry, based on Griffith's real hometown of Mount Airy.

"At Home with Amy Sedaris" was second. The rest of the list includes "The Carmichael Show," "My Brother and Me," "Delilah," "American Horror Story: Roanoke," "One Big Happy Family" and "Outer Banks."
