Onslow County Sheriff's Office investigation leads to man charged with indecent liberties

A Rocky Mount man is facing four felony counts of indecent liberties with children after he allegedly exposed himself and abused children within his family from approximately 1975 to 1985, the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.

According to a post from the sheriff's office's Facebook page, Thomas Donald Poulin, 73, was arrested last month and transferred to the Onslow County Detention Center under a $200,000 secured bond following an investigation by the special victims unit.

The office said two victims have claimed allegations against Poulin, who has a past conviction on the same charges.

As the investigation continues, the sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about the case (#2012031924) to contact the detective at 910-989-4066 or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273.
