Ontario County Public Health: 41 new COVID-19 cases Monday

HOPEWELL -- Ontario County Public Health is reporting 41 new community-acquired COVID-19 cases Monday, adding to the 46 new cases and one death reported Sunday.

The cases Monday range in age from 1 to 66 years old, and 10 were people under the age of 18, health officials said.

A total of 915 people under in quarantine and isolation, and 48 people are in the hospital.

Since the start of the pandemic, 12,862 cases have been reported; 139 people have died and 11,971 people have recovered.

Ontario County remains in the High category for COVID-19 transmission, which is the highest level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
