Ontario County Public Health: 68 new COVID-19 cases Thursday
HOPEWELL -- Ontario County Public Health is reporting 68 new COVID-19 cases Thursday.
Seventeen of the cases involved people under the age of 18. In all, 1,284 people are in isolation and mandatory quarantine (those who came into contact with COVID-19 positive people).
Forty-four people are in the hospital and 66 recoveries were reported.
Since the start of the pandemic, 12,612 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19; 138 people have died and 11,752 people have recovered.
Ontario County remains in the High category for COVID-19 transmission, which is the highest level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
