Ontario County Public Health: 72 COVID-19 cases and two deaths reported Monday

HOPEWELL -- Ontario County Public Health is reporting 72 community cases of COVID-19 and two COVID-19-related deaths on Monday.

Nineteen of the cases are people under the age of 18, and 102 recoveries were reported today, health officials said.

On Sunday, 69 new cases and one death were reported.

Since the start of the pandemic, 10,798 cases have been reported; 128 people have died and 10,039 people have recovered.

Ontario County remains in the High category for COVID-19 transmission, which is the highest level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
