Ontario County Public Health: 79 COVID-19 cases Tuesday

HOPEWELL -- Ontario County Public Health is reporting 79 COVID-19 cases, including 15 involving kids, as of Feb. 8.

Health officials said five deaths were reported via death certificate and all were from previous months.

They added that 640 negative tests were reported and 47 people were in the hospital. Also, 16 positive home tests were submitted for a total of 2,940.

Since the start of the pandemic, 19,675 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Ontario County and 175 people have died.
