Ontario County Public Health: 88 COVID-19 cases Monday

HOPEWELL -- Ontario County Public Health is reporting 88 COVID-19 cases Jan. 24. Twenty-four of the cases involved kids.

Health officials said 55 people are in the hospital and 901 negative tests were reported.

Fifty-nine positive home tests were submitted for a total of 2,480.

Since the start of the pandemic, 18,488 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Ontario County and 166 people have died.

The state Department of Health and Yates County Public Health are planning a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for 2 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Rushville Hose Co., 14 Railroad Ave., Rushville.

Adult Pfizer, pediatric Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration online for Pfizer doses is encouraged.

Johnson & Johnson will be walk-in only.

As a reminder, Ontario County Public Health is planning COVID-19 vaccine clinics, from 3 to 6 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Bristol Field House at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, and 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Ontario County Highway Office, 2962 County Road 48, Hopewell.
