Ontario County Public Health: 93 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday

HOPEWELL -- Ontario County Public Health is reporting 93 new COVID-19 cases as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Nine of the cases were people under the age of 18, and 36 people are in the hospital.

A total of 650 people are in quarantine or mandatory isolation.

Since the start of the pandemic, 11,851 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19; 136 people have died and 11,190 people have recovered.

Ontario County remains in the High category for COVID-19 transmission, which is the highest level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Ontario County Public Health has scheduled a drive-thru, first-dose Pfizer pediatric COVID-19 vaccination clinic for 4:15 to 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Ontario County Highway Office, 2930 County Road 48.
