Ontario County Public Health: Drive-thru COVID-19 booster vaccine clinic April 7

HOPEWELL -- Ontario County Public Health is reporting 15 COVID-19 cases Sunday, April 3.

Health officials said 134 negative tests were reported and 14 people were in the hospital.

Also, eight COVID-19 positive home tests were submitted, for a total of 3,465.

Since the start of the pandemic, 20,776 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Ontario County and 189 people have died.

Ontario County Public Health has scheduled an April 7 drive-thru clinic for people to receive a second COVID-19 booster dose. The clinic is 2-5 p.m. at the Ontario County Highway Office, 2930 County Road 48, Hopewell.

Those receiving the dose must have received their first dose at least four months ago. The clinic is for adults 50 and older; also for ages 18-49 if they received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or for ages 12 and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised. People ages 12-17 are eligible only for the Pfizer booster.

The Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 catch-up vaccine also is available, with no registration needed.
