Ontario County Public Health sets COVID-19 booster clinics for Jan. 12

HOPEWELL — Ontario County Public Health is offering COVID-19 drive-thru booster dose clinics from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the Ontario County Highway Office, 2930 County Road 48.

Health officials urge you to register for the correct vaccine.

For the Moderna booster clinic, visit shorturl.at/jvHN4.

For the Pfizer booster clinic, visit shorturl.at/nEG08.

Health officials said the system is being heavily used and the first attempt may not always be successful. They also recommend using a laptop or desktop rather than handheld devices to register for an appointment.

For help with registration if you do not have computer access, call the Office for the Aging at 585-396-4047.

Health officials are urging residents to get booster in an effort to help curb a recent spike in numbers.

On Sunday, a total of 175 COVID-19 cases were reported with 17 of the cases involving kids. There were 40 documented recoveries.

Seventy-seven positive home tests were reported for a cumulative total of 1,291.
