Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top Greek spots around Fort Lauderdale. Using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce, we produced a ranked list of spots that will make you go "Opa!"

Topping the list is Greek Islands Taverna. Located at 3300 N. Ocean Blvd., it is the highest rated Greek restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, boasting 4.5 stars out of 871 reviews on Yelp.

Situated near the beach, this spot comes courtesy of brothers Sam (Sotiri) and George Kantzavelos. It boasts a menu of homestyle Greek favorites, such as moussaka, pastitsio and spanakopita.

Next up is Harbordale's Gyroville, situated at 1489 S.E. 17th St., Suite C. With four stars out of 145 reviews on Yelp, the Greek, Mediterranean and halal spot has proven to be a local favorite.

Founded by Lambros Kokkinelis, this fast-casual Mediterranean chain offers a choice of proteins — gyro, spicy chicken and falafel — that come served in a pita, over rice, or in salad or wrap. Since 2010, the chain has expanded to a number of Florida cities, as well as Kansas and Michigan and even as far as Ecuador, the Sun Sentinel reports.

Myra Harbor Cafe, located at 1396 S.E. 17th St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the breakfast and brunch spot, which offers juice, smoothies and Greek fare, four stars out of 143 reviews.

On the menu of this family-owned restaurant, you’ll find Greek staples like the spinach pie with a Greek salad, the Harbor Special Gyro and Mediterranean-style grilled fish. All-day breakfast features oatmeal, steak and eggs, and a lox and bagel special.

Greek Pastries & Deli is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 47 Yelp reviews. Head over to 4701 N. Federal Highway to see for yourself.
