What’s Open, Closed For Veterans Day 2020 In Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Veterans Day will be a little different this year. With coronavirus cases spiking, many celebrations were canceled. The one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday.

Many government services are already affected by coronavirus closures, but the holiday will only shake up their hours more. Here is what's opened and closed on Wednesday's holiday:

Government Offices: Anne Arundel County and Annapolis government offices will be closed on Wednesday.

Courts: Courts are closed Wednesday. Court hours are listed here.

Parks: All parks will be open for their normal hours. Park hours are listed here. This interactive map shows the parks closest you.

Libraries: All Anne Arundel County Public Library branches will be open on Wednesday. All branches have reopened for limited, in-person service. Patrons must book an appointment by calling their local library, however. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be closed on Wednesday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed on Wednesday. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

Annapolis trash pickup will be continue as usual on Wednesday. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should reach out to Annapolis Public Works.

Buses: The Annapolis bus schedule will run limited routes on the holiday. Only the purple bus will run on Wednesday. That line will run on a Sunday schedule.

The County Connector will run on a Sunday schedule on this Wednesday.

The following busses will run on a Saturday schedule on Veterans Day:

  • 201

  • 202

  • 204 Brooklyn Park Connector/Call N Ride

  • Gold AACC

  • Gold Edgewater

  • Yellow

The busses will be out of service on Wednesday:

  • 504 Crofton Connector

  • South County Call N Ride

  • ParaTransit Service

Trains: The MARC train and Light RailLink will operate on Wednesday. All MARC schedules are listed on its website. The Light RailLink's schedule is posted at this link.
