Operation Consequences nets 50 felony arrests in the High Desert, Inland Empire
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials reported that during the 5th week of Operation Consequences, multiple felony arrests were made in the High Desert and Inland Empire.
From Oct. 29 through Nov. 4, which included a focused operation in Victorville and Hesperia on Friday, 17 search warrants were served in Victorville, Fontana, Apple Valley, Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Hesperia and Beaumont.
During that time, investigators made 50 felony arrests; seized 27 firearms, three of which were not serialized (ghost guns); and recovered illegal narcotics.
The operation included the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division and Specialized Enforcement Division, along with multiple sheriff’s patrol stations, San Bernardino County Probation, California Highway Patrol and Department of Homeland Security Investigations.

Deputies on Oct. 1 kicked off Operation Consequences, focusing on conducting targeted crime suppression operations in the High Desert and the sheriff’s jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino.

Operation Consequences will take place over the next several months to curb violent crime and disrupt and dismantle targeted criminal street gangs.
The SBC Board of Supervisors authorized funds to assist with county-wide crime suppression. The intent is to provide additional funding to the Sheriff’s Department, allowing for increased law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues affecting the communities in our county.
