OPINION: God, not presidents, is our only chance for salvation

Who is our true savior?

Let’s start with the President Joe Biden administration. Early on Biden chose to negotiate with the evil dictator Vladimir Putin.

He reversed many of the Trump successes especially at our southern border. Biden shut down the Keystone pipeline while we were producing oil for the U.S. and other countries. Biden chose solar energy long before solar was capable of producing enough energy. It appears that many put their faith in a person instead of a true savior.

There appears to be some evidence that his son Hunter has ties to China and Joe is often mentioned as the "Big Guy" in those reports.

Today on MSNBC a panel of four went on and on praising Biden and his accomplishments. It appears than the majority of America does not agree.

If not Biden, should we put our faith in President Donald Trump. He had better success at the border and improving our economy plus he does not appear to have ties to China.

What failures can we find? Trump abandoned the Christians and Curds in Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and Syria. This resulted in the release of hundreds of ISIS fighters, free to fight again. As a result, Putin replaced us in much of this area and Putin and Turkey became friends.

America had been assisting Afghanistan for several years in their war against the Taliban. Many said it was a 20-year war and we needed to get out. We were providing technical support and not frontline fighting.

Gaston County may have lost more to murders and drug overdoses in the last three years than the number of soldiers killed in Afghanistan in the last three-year period of that war.

Trump decided it was time to end this war and remove all our troops from this critical area. He negotiated with the Taliban and agree to free thousands of Taliban terrorists, which he started to do before the end of his term as president.

Trump agreed to an evacuation date. I feel the Trump evacuation would have been a disaster similar to the Biden evacuation. Will fools ever learn you can not negotiate with evil dictators and terrorists. Trump and Biden both proved to be fools as they both thought they could negotiate with evil.

Trump told many lies about other presidential candidates during his first election run. Even with these lies Christians supported his campaign. His great pride in himself should have been a warning to many. It’s evident God put Trump in office for God’s purpose.

Is God’s purpose to punish the US for turning our backs on God by aborting babies, taking the Ten Commandments out of schools and off public property; and teaching our youth they can select their gender?

It’s evident that Trump does not support Christian conservatives like Pat McCrory who eliminated sanctuary cities in North Carolina, fought the idea of leaving boys and girls using the same restrooms, balanced our state budget and created a surplus. With McCrory’s record how could anyone support Ted Budd for senator. Does Trump’s support of Budd reflect your moral character?

I’m sure some think that President Barack Obama was the answer to saving the US. Some feel Obama care was a complete success and it may be for those who choose federal help instead of being self-sufficient on their own. For those who choose to pay their own way their result is much different.

Obama evidently felt he could end the war in Iraq by just pulling out. For him pulling out of Iraq was fatal for many as his pulling out created ISIS. This resulted in sending in more troops to be killed.

President George W. Bush had sent additional troops into Iraq eliminating the terrorists’ threat that Obama started up again.

Bush imitated a missile defense system in Poland to stop Putin from bombing Poland. Obama, Trump and Biden all chose to use their negotiating skills to negotiate with evil instead of Bush’s missile defense system. Poland sure could use that missile defense system today.

Bush was a true believer and sought the wisdom of God while the other three presidents chose their wisdom over God’s

I am not saying Bush is our savior, but that God who has all wisdom freely gives his wisdom to true believers.

God is our only chance for salvation. Read 2 Chronicles 14:7 and believe.
