Opposing Protesters Face Off in Huntington Beach

Opposing protesters clashed in Huntington Beach, California, on Sunday, April 11, during a planned “white lives matter” rally.

Media reported the “white lives matter” rally in Huntington Beach was promoted by a KKK-affiliated group, the Loyal White Knights of the KKK. The event was one of several planned “white lives matter” protests to be held across the United States, reports said.

The Huntington Beach chapter of Black Lives Matter said it was holding a counter-protest of the “white lives matter” rally on Sunday, according to the organization’s flyer.

At least two people were arrested, one for a “noise infraction” and another for "resisting an officer, according to a police officer on the scene. Credit: David D. via Storyful
