Orange Is the New Black star Laura Prepon announces pregnancy
Congratulations are in order for Orange Is the New Black star Laura Prepon as the actress has confirmed that she's pregnant with baby number two!
Laura, who played Alex Vause in the hit Netflix series, welcomed her first child Ella with husband Ben Foster in August 2017, and today (October 24) the star revealed that their family is growing in an adorable new Instagram post.
"We are so excited to announce that our family is growing," Laura wrote. "Life is beautiful! #knockedup."
This isn't the only new OITNB baby on the way either, as back in July Danielle Brooks (Taystee) confirmed that she was pregnant, while Amanda Fuller, who played Madison 'Badison' Murphy, also announced she was expecting a baby.
Following the birth of her first child, Laura ended up missing a few of the early episodes of OITNB season 6 as Ella was born the day the series started production.
"It actually worked out really, really great," she said last year. "Because of Litchfield exploding, basically, last season, all the girls get sent to Max, and it was left as a cliffhanger as to what was happening with my character.
"I went back to work at six weeks, which is fast. But because of the storyline, it was pretty perfect that you didn't know what was going on with Alex."
Since then, the series has released its seventh and final season as Orange is the New Black drew to a close earlier this year.
Speaking about what the future holds for Alex and Piper (Taylor Schilling) beyond the series finale, Laura revealed that she thinks the couple will "end up together", having learned a lot from their time in prison.
"I'm hoping that they use that to treat each other a lot better, which I'm sure they will. Because at the end of the day, love is love is love," she added. "And Alex and Piper love each other, so you just figure it out."
