Orange County Firefighters Rescue Pair From Flood Control Channel

Firefighters rescued two people from a flood control channel in Santa Ana, California, on December 28, the Orange County Fire Authority said.

The National Weather Service forecast heavy rainfall for the area on Monday evening.

Captain Thanh Nguyen, a spokesperson for the fire department, cautioned residents to stay away from the water during the rainfall. He told local media, “The message we want to put out to people is that when it rains, all of that water collects in (flood control channels) and it builds up fast.” Credit: Orange County Fire Authority via Storyful
