According to a release, the Sorosis of Orlando Woman’s Club donated $100,000 to the library, which will go toward a bookmobile and book bicycles.
OCLS said there has been an increase in the number of people who cannot visit the branch locations.
“As our county grows, we need to look for new and innovative ways to deliver services, especially to areas with transportation needs and other challenges,” said Steve Powell, the library director and CEO. “A bookmobile will go a long way toward addressing those challenges.”
This initiative comes as OCLS celebrates 100 years.
