Triple Threat Truck Fest, May 27-29
The Orange County Fair Speedway hosts the Triple Threat Truck Fest, three days of family-friendly fun! Enjoy truck pulls, fireworks, concerts, bonfires, food, pig roasts and more. Orange County Stampede, May 29
The Stampede returns to Middletown's Orange County Fairgrounds. Dust off those hats and boots and come on out for return of the Orange County’s biggest outdoor rodeo. Enjoy lawn seating at The Orange County Fairgrounds outdoor concert and rodeo area “The Barn” where you can bring your own chairs and blankets. On-site vendors include food, adult beverage and western wear vendors. At OCFS’s Summer Stage at The Barn Doors open at noon. 111 Carpenter Ave., Middletown. Tickets are $29; $15 for kids. Sugar Loaf Spring Festival, May 29
Taking place throughout the artisan hamlet of Sugar Loaf, this annual event features an array of street vendors, food purveyors and entertainers. Local shops will be selling merchandise and the streets will be lined with visiting artists and makers. A mix of cultural and local cuisine will be offered from established eateries in Sugar Loaf and pop-up food and craft beverage vendors. The 2022 festival is co-hosted in conjunction with the Savage Wonder Festival. Savage Wonder brings many nationally recognized acts to Sugar Loaf. Event is rain or shine. Port Jervis Train Museum, May 28-30
Memorial Day Weekend marks the grand opening of the Port Jervis Transportation History Center. This outdoor rain-or-shine event will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Visitors to the former Erie Railroad turntable facility in Port Jervis, located behind the Save-A-Lot shopping center, can enjoy a collection of artifacts and railroad equipment, vehicle demonstrations and additional events. Tickets are $5 per person ages 12 and up, with children under age 12 attending for free. Admission may be purchased in advance at www.pjthc.org/festival or at the gate on the day of attendance. The Who, May 28
With both Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend delivering their memoirs in recent years, it’s fitting that the two remaining members of the Who have shared their incredible legacy in literary fashion. Few bands have had a more lasting impact on the rock era and the reverberating pop culture than The Who. The band is at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. World War 1 Tour, May 30
To commemorate Memorial Day, Staatsburgh State Historic Site will present its special themed 90-minute tour of the mansion, “World War I and the End of the Gilded Age.” 1 p.m. $10; $8 for students, seniors; children under 12 are free. New Paltz Woodstock Arts & Crafts Festival, May 28-30
The fair features hundreds of juried artists and craftspeople from all over the country. Dylanfest, May 28
Willie Nile will be participating in a couple of celebrations for Bob Dylan’s 81st birthday this year, and one of these is Dylanfest 2022, the Bob Dylan Tribute Music Festival at the Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery. Nile will be performing “Blowin’ In The Wind.” Other acts include Tim Odonohue, Elissa Jones Band, Kings of the Physchedelta, The Kennedys. The fun starts on Thursday, May 26, at 6 p.m. and continues Friday, May 27, from 6 to 10 p.m. There are sensory-friendly hours on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Additional hours are Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Monday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Daily wristbands for unlimited rides are only $25. Warwick Food Truck Festival, June 2 & July 7
Now in its sixth year, this community fundraising event features a wide variety of food truck fare, desserts and sweets, locally crafted brews and live music each evening. The festival takes place on First Thursdays, June 2 and July 7, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the soccer field at St. Stephen the First Martyr Church (GPS 100 St. Stephen’s Place). The event’s celebrated food truck lineup includes a broad and varied menu featuring fan favorites like smoked BBQ, burgers and lobster rolls as well as international specialties including Latin American, Mexican and Vietnamese dishes, locally crafted brews and vino, plus gourmet cupcakes, cream puffs, and kettle corn made to order. Specialty pizzas, mac 'n cheese, sausage and peppers, egg rolls, dumplings and more are an additional sampling of menu items. General admission is $5; free admission for children age 12 and under. Newburgh Illuminated Festival, June 4
The Newburgh Illuminated Festival celebrates the diversity and dynamism of the city of Newburgh with music, art, dance, poetry, food, and more. The free, family-and pet-friendly event will be held on Broadway, near Liberty and Grand streets from noon until 10 p.m. Five outdoor live music and performance stages will be placed along Newburgh’s Broadway and Liberty Street coridors featuring a diverse selection of the area’s top live music acts. Intimate acoustic musical guests shine at local spot The Wherehouse; while live DJs will spin at hotspot Toasted Newburgh. In addition, Broadway will be lined with over 125 of the Hudson Valley’s top food, craft, informational services, local makers and much more. Day of Acceptance, June 12
A family-friendly day with brunch, a parade and live entertainment. This Pride event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and allies starts at 11 a.m. at the Warwick Valley Community Center, 11 Hamilton Ave. Everyone is invited to decorate floats, make processional art for the parade, enjoy a free rainbow bagel brunch and dance to DJ Skyhook. Mental health and support organization booths in attendance. Acting Out Playhouse presents a medley of tunes from "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat" at 12.30 p.m. The parade steps off at 1.30. Other events: Pride Drag Show, 2.45 p.m. at the Center, Mistress of Ceremonies Eve Starr joined by guest star Evita Loca, all the way from New York City. Audience members are invited to join them on stage and can register for So You Think You Can Drag. More details on the Community Center’s FB event page. Catskills Pride, June 18
Catskills Pride Celebration + Callicoon celebrates the LGBTQIA+ businesses and marks the 20th anniversary of the hamlet’s “Day to Be Gay,” 1-6 p.m. The event will include unique offerings, specials and events throughout the day.
