'He Has Ordered Thousands Of Masks And Sanitizer': Murrieta Hero

MURRIETA, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Richard Henry Gibbs of Murrieta, who nominated Jonathan Ingram, also of Murrieta:

What does the nominee do for work?:

City Council Member

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
As a private citizen, Mr Ingram has been everywhere in our community since the Covid 19 shutdown. He has personally secured tons of food for senior citizen communities, such as The Colony, where I reside, and for food banks. He has ordered thousands of masks and sanitizer, at his expense, and made them available to seniors and first responders. Before grocery stores had senior hours, he convinced Baron's to do so. When he learned how many seniors needed distilled water for their CPAP machines for sleeping, he arranged for a local source. His actions have positively affected thousands of Murrieta residents. You can check these facts with The Colony's GM or the HOA Board of Directors.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Jonathan Ingram believes that serving those in need is a basic human virtue and we each do what we can.

Thank you for all you do, Jonathan!
