Oregon Cat Figures Out How to Open Sliding Glass Door

An ambitious cat in McMinnville, Oregon, demonstrated her clever technique for opening sliding glass doors.

Olive, who was adopted by owner Beth Belnap almost five years ago after she was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles, has figured out how to open doors and escape into the backyard of her Oregon home.

Belnap told Storyful Olive opens the door this way “all the time. She’s set off the alarm. I’ve had to childproof all the doors,” she said.

The pet owner also told Storyful that if Olive manages to get outside, all Belnap needs to do is whistle and call her name before she comes right back. Credit: Beth Belnap via Storyful
