Oregon Ducks host 4-star Demond Williams Jr. on visit, No. 9 QB in 2024 class

With National Signing Day on the horizon, colleges across the country are doing everything they can to shore up recruiting and finalize their 2022 classes. With recruiting opening up and making visits possible again this past week, that means that the nation’s top athletes are on the move, checking out their potential new digs.

While all of the above is true for the Oregon Ducks, they are also keeping an eye towards the future as well. That’s why the No. 9 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, Demond Williams Jr., came to Eugene for an official visit over the weekend to check out Autzen Stadium.

Williams Jr. is the No. 96 overall prospect in the class of 2024, standing at 5-foot-11, 160 pounds out of Chandler, Arizona. He is a two-year starter who has accumulated 4,446 yards passing with 36 touchdowns and just eight interceptions, while also running for 883 yards and 17 scores on the ground.

With so much time before he makes a decision about his future, it is great to see that the Ducks are putting in the leg work to try and make sure he knows he is wanted in the future.
