Oregon Ducks move back into College Football Playoff top 10

After Oregon's 38-29 victory over Oregon State on Saturday, the Ducks have moved back into the top 10 of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Oregon is 10th this week, which is one spot up from where the Ducks were last week . The Ducks fell from No. 3 to No. 11 following their 38-7 loss to Utah on Nov. 20.

Ahead of its rematch against Oregon on Friday, Utah is the only other team in the College Football Playoff top 25 as the Utes moved up from No. 19 to No. 17.

Georgia continues to be on top of the polls once again ahead of its SEC championship matchup against Alabama, which is ranked No. 3 this week. Michigan moved up from No. 5 to No. 2 this week after beating Ohio State, which was No. 2, on Saturday. Cincinnati is ranked fourth, followed by Oklahoma State who is now fifth after its win against Oklahoma.

Oregon will play Utah for the Pac-12 championship on Friday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The winner will likely play in the Rose Bowl, which will be played Jan. 1 against a Big Ten opponent, possibly a rematch against Ohio State, who the Ducks defeated 35-28 on Sept. 11.

The Ducks have an outside chance to play in the College Football Playoff, but they would need to beat Utah and hope for lots of help from both the committee and from teams that are playing on championship games this weekend.

If Oregon loses, it will likely play in the Alamo Bowl, which will be held in San Antonio on Dec. 29.
