Oregon football adds Texas A&M transfer receiver Caleb Chapman

Late Friday night, the Oregon Ducks added another experienced player to their receiver room.

Former Texas A&M Aggies receiver Caleb Chapman will transfer to Oregon. The former four-star recruit will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Chapman spent three years in College Station as he hoped to become a significant receiver threat for the Aggies. However, his career has been plagued by injuries.

In 2020, Chapman suffered a season-ending injury after tearing his ACL in a game against Florida. He also suffered a significant injury in 2019 that limited him to just two games.

In three seasons at Texas A&M, Chapman caught 28 receptions for 413 yards and three touchdowns.

Chapman was a four-star recruit coming out of Clear Brook High in Friendswood, Texas, as he was ranked as the No. 60 wide receiver.

Chapman will be the 10th player to Oregon this offseason. Ducks have added quarterback Bo Nix, punter Adam Berry, defensive linemen Casey Rogers, Jordon Riley, and Sam Taimani, running back Mar'Keise Irving, wide receiver Chase Cota, kicker Andrew Boyle, and cornerback Christian Gonzalez through the transfer portal.
