About the Ducks
The slump continues for Oregon, which dropped its sixth straight game Friday night in a 64-57 loss to Washington State in Pullman. It’s the Ducks’ longest losing streak under coach Kelly Graves since his first season at Oregon in 2014-15. It's also the first time the Ducks have been swept by the Cougars since 2001.
Almost all the scoring against Washington State came from Chance Gray (18 points), Endyia Rogers (17) and Grace VanSlooten (11). Oregon’s other two starters — Te-Hina Paopao and Phillipina Kyei — went scoreless on a combined 0-for-4 shooting, and the bench contributed just 11 points.
The season had a much different vibe the last time Oregon and Washington played, a game the Ducks won 65-58 at Matthew Knight Arena on Jan. 13 to improve to 13-4. They’ve only won once since, going 1-8 over the last five weeks.
About the Huskies
Haley Van Dyke scored 17 to lead Washington to a 64-59 win against Oregon State Friday night. The Huskies made a season-high 10 3-pointers in the game — more than double their 4.6 per game average — as they improved to 6-9 in conference play to stay a game ahead of the Ducks in the Pac-12 standings.
The Huskies, who are the lowest scoring team in the conference at 62.5 points per game, own one of the best wins by a Pac-12 team this season when they upset then-No. 2 Stanford in Seattle, 72-67, on Feb. 5.
