- It's a little hard for me to talk. I'm getting misty seeing all those old seats.

- Right?

- I think I remember a lot of those, but you know, I'm assuming it was probably a little misty for you the last 14 months. I mean, what's it been like being the athletic director? Great athletic program, but it's been tough, I assume.

- You know, Nigel, I walked in here today, and I got chills down my spine and fought back. You know, it was Arizona State, 2019, the last time we had fans. Last year was a lonely time, sitting up there in the suite with maybe one or two other administrators. So to sort of see the fans back gives you additional hope. This thing's going to flip, and we know it is.

So to see fans here for the first time since then, it is awesome. A lot of struggles along the way. Struggles make you stronger, and I think our student athletes have performed mightily as our coaches have. You look at what they've done in the classroom and in competition. You just had Wayne, here. You think about all the achievements of our teams. They've persevered through this in a way that is really unimaginable.
