Oregon State athletic director Scott Barnes hospitalized in Fresno

Oregon State University athletic director Scott Barnes is in stable condition after experiencing what the school called a “medical event.”

Barnes was at Fresno State University to attend an awards presentation Saturday night when the event happened.

Barnes, who also is a vice president at Oregon State, was taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California, where he continued to receive care on Sunday.

“All of us at Oregon State University are grateful for the medical care that Scott is receiving,” Oregon State University President Jayathi Y. Murthy said in a released statement.
