Oregon State Beavers, Oregon Ducks baseball teams ranked in college preseason poll

The Oregon State and Oregon baseball teams will begin the season ranked in the Baseball America preseason poll.

The Beavers came in at No. 18 in the poll released this week, and the Ducks are No. 20.

Oregon State opens the season Feb. 17 against New Mexico in a tournament in Surprise, Arizona.

The Beavers’ home opener is at 5:35 p.m. Feb. 24 against Coppin State at Goss Stadium.

Last season, Oregon State went 48-18 overall, including 20-10 in the Pac-12, and made it to the NCAA Corvallis Super Regional, where they lost to Auburn in three games.

Oregon opens its season at 3:05 p.m. Feb. 17 at home against Xavier at PK Park.

The Ducks finished 36-25 last season, including 18-12 in the Pac-12, and made it to the NCAA Louisville Regional, where they were eliminated by going 1-2.

LSU is No. 1, and Stanford is the highest-ranked Pac-12 team at No. 4.
