Oregon State surge stuns Oregon in Pac-12 play

Oregon had scored 24 straight points to take a 21-point lead in the third quarter of its annual rivalry game with Oregon State on Saturday in Corvallis.

The Ducks should have ducked because they didn’t know what was about to hit them.

The Beavers scored 28 of the game’s final 31 points and rocked Oregon, 38-34.

Oregon State scored 3 touchdowns in 5:13 of the fourth quarter. The 3 drives totaled 10 plays and 3:12 of Beaver offense.

The Ducks had a last gasp to try and win the game but the Oregon State defense stymied them with a couple of minutes left.

Oregon had scored 24 straight points bridging the second and third quarters to take the 31-10 lead.

Oregon State won despite quarterback Ben Gulbranson only completing 6 passes all game for 60 yards. A total of 268 rushing yards offset that.

Both schools finished the regular season at 9-3.
