Oregon winter storm live updates: Salem-Keizer, other delays, closures due to snow

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Salem and the rest of the central Willamette Valley until 10 a.m. Thursday.

The following schools have announced delays or closures for Thursday, Feb. 23:

  • Amity School District: Closed.

  • Blanchet Catholic School: Closed. Afternoon activities canceled.

  • Bridgeway Recovery Services: All outpatient and administrative offices closed. Detox and residential services open.

  • Capital Christian/Sonshine Daycare: School and daycare closed.

  • Cascade School District: Closed.

  • Chemeketa Community College: All campuses closed. Fully remote classes will run as scheduled. Tenant operations continue as required. Essential employees should connect with supervisors.

  • Crosshill Christian: Closed.

  • Dallas School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Family Building Blocks: All offices are closed and all classes are canceled.

  • Gervais School District: Closed.

  • Greater Albany School District: Two-hour delay.

  • Institute of Technology (Salem): Closed.

  • McMinville School District: Closed.

  • Mt. Angel School District: Three-hour delay.

  • North Marion School District: Closed.

  • North Santiam School District (Stayton): Closed.

  • Northwest Senior and Disability Services: All locations will open at 10 a.m.

  • OCDC Headstart: (updated) OCDC Brooks, OCDC Mulino, OCDC McMinville, OCDC Silverton, OCDC Settlemier and Independence are closed.

  • Oregon Office of Public Defense Services: Provider summit in Salem canceled. Salem offices open but work remotely where available.

  • Perrydale School District: Closed. Afternoon and evening activities canceled.

  • Queen of Peace Catholic School: School and childcare are closed.

  • Salem Academy: Closed. No preschool or childcare. All activities canceled.

  • Salem-Keizer Public Schools: Closed. District offices open.

  • Salem Public Library and 50+ Center: Delayed opening until noon.

  • Santiam Canyon School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Silver Falls School District: Closed.

  • St. Paul School District: Closed.

  • Sweet Home School District: Two-hour delay.

  • Willamette ESD: (updated) All sites are closed in Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. This includes preschool programs, WCA and OASIS.

  • Willamette Valley Christian (Brooks): Closed.

  • Willamette University: Salem campus is open and following its regular operations and academic schedule. PNCA campus is closed.

  • Willamina School District: Closed.

  • Woodburn School District: Two-hour delay.
