Oregon winter weather live updates: Tuesday Salem-area school delays, closures

Winter storm warnings have been issued across northwest Oregon, including the entire Willamette Valley, and snow is falling pretty heavily in some areas.

Some school delays and closures have been announced for Tuesday, Feb. 28. Here's the latest list:

  • Amity School District: Morning buses on snow routes.

  • Blanchet Catholic School: (updated) Closed. All afternoon activities and sports are canceled.

  • Capital Christian/Sonshine Daycare: Closed.

  • Cascade School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Central 13J School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Central Electrical JATC: Tangent classes on a two-hour delay.

  • Chemeketa Community College: 2.5-hour delay, until 10:30 a.m., for all Chemeketa campuses, outreach centers and operations. Fully remote classes will run as scheduled.

  • Community Action Head Start - Marion/Polk closed.

  • Crosshill Christian: (updated) Closed.

  • Dallas School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Family Building Blocks: Opening at noon. All classes are canceled.

  • Greater Albany School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Institute of Technology (Salem): Opening at 10 a.m.

  • Lebanon Community Schools: (updated) Closed.

  • McMinnville School District: Morning and afternoon buses on snow routes.

  • Molalla River School District: (updated) Closed.

  • North Santiam School District (Stayton): Closed.

  • OCDC Headstart: (updated) Two-hour delay at McMinnville, Concordia, Seymour. Brooks, Mulino and Settlemier campuses closed.

  • Oregon State University-Corvallis: Campus will open at 10 a.m.

  • Perrydale School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Queen of Peace Catholic School: (updated) Closed.

  • Salem Academy: (updated) Closed.

  • Salem-Keizer Public Schools: (updated) Closed.

  • Santiam Canyon School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Scio School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Sheridan School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Silver Falls School District: (updated) Silver Crest Elementary and Victor Point Elementary are closed. In the Scotts Mills area, buses 6, 26, 27, and 33 will be on snow routes.

  • Summit Learning Charter: Closed. Online classes are on time.

  • Sweet Home School District: (updated) Closed.

  • Western Oregon University: (update) All campuses closed.

  • Willamette ESD: (updated) All Polk County and Salem sites are closed, including Marion Center, ECC, WCA and Preschool Promise. Yamhill County and Woodburn sites on regular schedules.

  • Willamette University: Salem campuses classes and operations delayed until 10 a.m. Classes remote as determined by instructors.

  • Willamette Valley Christian (Brooks): (updated) Closed. No preschool.

  • Willamina School District: (updated) Closed.
