Oregon Ducks women’s basketball

Oregon (14-13, 5-11 Pac-12) vs. No. 14 Arizona (21-6, 11-5)

7 p.m., Thursday at Matthew Knight Arena

TV: Pac-12 Oregon

Radio: KUGN-FM (98.1), KUGN-AM (590)

About the Ducks

  • Freshman Grace VanSlooten won’t suit up for Oregon’s final weekend at home. The starting forward injured her ankle against Washington State last Friday and missed the game against Washington on Sunday. On this week’s Tip-Off Tuesday in-house radio show, coach Kelly Graves described the injury as “pretty severe,” and said there’s a chance VanSlooten could be out for a while. Her absence leaves the Ducks with just eight available scholarship players.

  • Oregon’s seven-game losing streak is its longest since it dropped eight straight in the middle of the 2012-13 season. But before this season started to go south, the then-No. 18 Ducks played an entertaining game against then-No. 15 Arizona in Tucson on Jan. 8 that featured 21 lead changes and nine ties before the Wildcats closed on a 12-4 run to secure the 79-71 win.

  • Oregon is ninth in the conference standings and if the season ended today it would open next week’s Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas with a first-round game Wednesday against eighth-place Washington (7-9). Right below the Ducks in the standings is California (4-12). Oregon holds the tie-breaker against the Golden Bears if those two end up tied after Saturday’s final games.

About the Wildcats

  • The Wildcats are coming into the game having won three straight, including a sweep last weekend at home against No. 8 Utah and No. 21 Colorado.

  • Arizona is fourth in the conference standings and in position to get the final first-round bye for the Pac-12 Tournament. The Wildcats are one game behind Colorado (12-4), but also only one game ahead of fifth-place UCLA (10-6), meaning they still have extra incentive to win this weekend against Oregon and Oregon State.
