At the end of June 2021, the Department of Defense and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is to deliver an unclassified report on unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Clearly, this has been top of mind at Nabisco, because Oreo is sending a sign of peace and unity to any extraterrestrials out there with a new cookie pack.

The cookies — which we have dubbed UFOreos — themselves do not feature a new flavor or design, so you can expect The Oreo Offering, as it’s called, to simply include the signature Oreo cookie. However, the black and blue packaging is special and encourages you to help any creatures feel welcome. Place a cookie in the center of this pack and place it in view of the night sky as a sign of peace (because, you know, us earthlings show peace with food).

The only bad news here is that The Oreo Offering won’t be available in stores. The limited-edition packs are available right now on OREO.com/TheOREOOffering. The packs are free, so you just have to pay the $3 for shipping. There are only so many to go around, so procrastinating is not the move.

“Whether you are a UFO believer or not, it is undeniable that a special connection forms over earth’s number one cookie and a glass of milk!” Olympia Portale, senior brand manager, Oreo Equity, said in press materials. “With The OREO Offering, we are ready to greet any lifeforms that might be out there.”

In addition to the cookies, Nabisco has taken over a farm in the heart of the country to build a cookie crop circle. Hey, we might as well speak their language, right? Now go dunk in peace.
