Originally set to open this year, the new Pizza Ranch in Lisbon now targets a 2024 opening
It's going to be later than anticipated, but Pizza Ranch in the Village of Lisbon is still going to open, according to company officials.
While the original plan was that Pizza Ranch was to open in 2023, it is now slated for a 2024 opening.
Jessica Kenyon, new restaurant marketing consultant for Pizza Ranch, said Pizza Ranch plans on breaking ground by the end of 2023. She said it's possible the restaurant could open in the second quarter of 2024. However, she said no opening date is set. "Nothing has been announced," she said.
Where will Pizza Ranch be in Lisbon?
Pizza Ranch is slated to be built in Lisbon Business Park East at Townline Road and a new road called Lieds Lane.
Lisbon Business Park East was formed in 2020 and is part of the town's first TIF district, approved by then-town officials in 2018. (Lisbon has since become a village.) It is at Townline Road and Main Street (Highway 74) at the former site of Lied's Nursery. Lied's closed about 13 years ago.
How many other Pizza Ranch restaurants are in Waukesha County?
This will be the second Pizza Ranch in Waukesha County. The other is in Waukesha, at 930 Fleetfoot Drive, which opened in 2018. Pizza Ranch is a chain restaurant that started in 1981 in Hull, Iowa. It has more than 200 restaurants in 15 states, according to its website.
What kind of restaurant is Pizza Ranch?
Pizza Ranch is known for its pizza buffet which includes desserts, a salad bar, different kinds of pizza, and chicken, according to its website. Customers can also order pizza for dine-in or pick-up as well as chicken, and desserts such as a big chocolate chip cookie — which has eight slices — and apple and blueberry dessert pizza.
Will there be a FunZone Arcade with the Pizza Ranch?
The plan is for this Pizza Ranch to have a FunZone Arcade, according to a company news release. This will include a variety of games, including the newest interactive and high-energy games along with some nostalgia games. There will be a redemption prize counter "with prizes big and small."
The location will include party rooms for business meetings, gatherings and birthday parties.
