Orion Amphitheater named on Billboard’s Top Venues 2024 list

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – As the Orion Amphitheater enters its third season of stellar concerts and events, it can now add a new achievement to its long list of successes.
Billboard has released its list of top venues for the year. Among them are some of the world’s largest, most well-known entertainment locations.
Decatur theatre company presents Pulitzer Prize-winning play
The Rocket City’s own Orion Amphitheater was named the Top East Coast Amphitheater in 2024. The venue, designed by Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett’s The Venue Group, has seen a rise in big-name acts.
Lana Del Rey and Brandi Carlile both played at the venue in September 2023. Greta van Fleet and Styx with Foreigner are just two of the upcoming shows. There are also weekends dedicated to certain artists, like Billy Strings and Widespread Panic.
Along with world-class artists, the Orion hosts several local events throughout the year. Bookworms can attend the Rocket City Reading Fest hosted by the Huntsville Madison County Public Library on March 10. There will also be an arts event featuring local Black artists on February 24.
