Orlando attorney followed minors, offered them CBD oil, cops say

A Winter Park attorney is facing stalking charges after a group of young girls said he followed them out of a restaurant, flirted with them and offered them CBD oil, according to the Winter Park Police Department.

Kenneth Carl Wright, 63, was arrested July 16 on three counts of aggravated stalking of a child under 16 and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Two victims told Winter Park police that Wright approached them at a Panera Bread around 3 p.m. on June 24 and “hit on them,” asking them questions persistently, according to an affidavit.

The victims said they feared for their safety, so they left the restaurant and went to a nearby Starbucks.

Wright followed them into the store, produced two bottles of what the victims said looked like CBD oil and asked the girls if they wanted to take some. They refused and he gave them his business card, the affidavit said. The group was picked up by a friend shortly afterward.

The Florida Bar shows Wright is licensed to practice law in Florida and is considered a member in good standing. According to the Bar, Wright works in business law and manages Scholars Group, LLC in Orlando.

Wright was booked into the Orange County Jail on $16,000 bond. A message left at a contact number listed for Wright was not immediately returned.
