Orlando Auto Museum offers free admission to costumed kids

The Orlando Auto Museum at Dezerland Action Park is offering free admission to kids in Halloween costumes throughout October, setting up the possibility of cars with coordinated looks.

Each child must be accompanied by a paid adult. Accompanying adults will receive a 50% discount on tickets. Admission normally is $24.95 ($16.95 for ages 4-12).

The museum houses more than 2,000 vehicles, including character cars for Halloween photo opportunities such as the Ecto-1 from “Ghostbusters,” Koach and the Dragula from “The Munsters” and others.

“Do you have a Spider Man running around at home? Only at Orlando Auto Museum can they come see the actual van from the ‘Spider-Man 2′ movie,” John Goodman, vice president of sales and marketing at Dezerland Action Park Orlando, said in a news release. “We wanted to provide kids another opportunity to have some fun in their costume and get into the Halloween spirit.”

Other collections at the attraction are connected with Batman, James Bond, the military and ‘50s style Americana. The museum also features the longest car in the world, which is more than 100 feet long and has a capacity of 75 people. Its features include a jacuzzi and a putting green.

Dezerland Action Park is located at 5250 International Drive in Orlando.
